WFL Super Lawyers 2025

Doylestown, PA – Williams Family Law, P.C. is once again celebrating the selection of four of its attorneys to the 2025 Pennsylvania Super Lawyers and Rising Stars lists. The annual honors, reserved for a small percentage of attorneys in the commonwealth, spotlight the firm’s continued excellence and influence in the field of family law. Partners Jeffrey M. Williams, Susan J. Smith, and Robert J. Salzer received the Super Lawyers recognition for their work in family law, and Salzer was also recognized for criminal defense. Associate David C. Hamilton was named to the list of Rising Stars.

Firm Founder and Managing Partner Jeffrey M. Williams has been named a Pennsylvania Super Lawyer every year since 2005. Widely regarded as one of Pennsylvania’s top family law litigators, Williams focuses on complex, high net-worth divorces, as well as alimony, spousal and child support, and custody matters. He is a Fellow of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers (AAML), a distinction held by a limited number of attorneys nationwide and reserved for those demonstrating the highest levels of skill and integrity. He is also a Diplomate of the American College of Family Trial Lawyers (ACFTL), a select group of 100 of the top family law trial lawyers from across the United States.

Susan J. Smith was first named to the Super Lawyers list in 2005. With more than 30 years of experience, she is recognized as one of the top divorce and custody attorneys in Bucks County and southeastern Pennsylvania. Smith’s clients value her ability to combine compassionate counsel with strategic advocacy. She has been honored by American Lawyer Media as a “Woman Leader in the Law.”

Robert J. Salzer was first selected to the Super Lawyers Rising Star list in 2015. He is also a fellow of the AAML. Salzer brings a well-rounded legal perspective to his practice, which includes both family law and criminal defense. In addition to his law degree, he also has an LL.M. in taxation, which affords him the ability to help clients navigate very complex matters that involve financial issues and tax implications.

David C. Hamilton, named to Rising Stars for the second straight year, brought strong legal insight and valuable courtroom experience to the firm after serving as a judicial law clerk in the State of Delaware’s Family Court. His clients benefit from his attention to detail, thorough preparation, and commitment to effective advocacy.

The 2025 Pennsylvania Super Lawyers list is a rating service of outstanding lawyers from more than 70 practice areas. The research-driven, peer-influenced rating system lists lawyers who have attained a high degree of peer recognition and professional achievement. Notably, the Super Lawyers designation is awarded to just 5 percent of the attorneys in the commonwealth. The Rising Stars list, open to attorneys age 40 or younger or in practice less than 10 years, is awarded to just 2.5 percent of attorneys in the state.
