Heather Hines has a distinguished background in family law, criminal prosecution, and civic engagement. While she has worked in both the public and private sector, she has spent the last several years drawing on her extensive courtroom and litigation background to focus almost exclusively on family law matters, such as divorce, child support, child custody, and protection from abuse.
Before entering private practice, Heather spent nearly a decade as an assistant district attorney in Montgomery County, prosecuting cases involving firearms, drug offenses, violent crime, and sex offenses. Her work resulted in multiple awards recognizing successful prosecutions of violent crimes, including a first-degree murder conviction. She also served with the Bucks County District Attorney’s Office, where she was chief of the forfeiture unit.
Heather later transitioned from government service to public-interest advocacy, joining the Senior Law Center, a legal aid nonprofit serving older adults. She opened the organization’s Bucks County office and provided free legal services to senior victims of crime and financial exploitation, further strengthening her client-centered approach to advocacy.
Heather’s law career was first launched through internships with the Chester County District Attorney’s Office and the Delaware County Court of Common Pleas, under the Honorable Kathrynann W. Durham. She also served as a law clerk for the Honorable Stephen A. Corr.
Heather enjoys biking, traveling, spending time with her family and volunteering in her community.
