Doylestown, PA – Two attorneys from Williams Family Law, P.C. have been selected for the 2020 edition of Best Lawyers in America, the oldest peer-review publication in the legal profession. Jeffrey M. Williams and Susan J. Smith were both recognized for their work in the area of Family Law.

Founder and managing partner Jeffrey Williams has been selected to Best Lawyers annually since 2008. He primarily handles complex divorces, high-income alimony/ spousal support, complex child support, and high-conflict child custody cases. As the legal representative for a non-birth mother, Williams successfully litigated one of the first significant same-sex child custody cases in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. While serving as the chair of the Pennsylvania Bar Association Family Law Section, Williams played an instrumental role in a 10-year-long effort to improve and implement new child custody laws in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Partner Susan Smith has been recognized in Best Lawyers since 2018. She has established herself as one of the top divorce and child custody attorneys in southeastern Pennsylvania. Smith focused her work on divorce, child custody, child and spousal support, alimony, equitable distribution of marital property, prenuptial and postnuptial agreements, business valuation issues and asset investigation issues impacting high net worth clients. She is a member of the board of trustees of the Bucks County Historical Society, the private non-profit organization that operates the Mercer Museum, Spruance Library and Fonthill Museum.
